The current manor house was built by Count Aleksandras Plater. At his wife’s initiative, the planting of the park began. The manor ensemble was developed between 1880 and 1897.
The Vilkėnai manor house is a two-story Neo-Renaissance building with a simple, symmetrical layout and a tower. The main façade features a portico with four masonry columns, while the rear façade has a balcony.
To give the building elegance and lightness, the architect designed a decorative pediment with a cut-out silhouette above the risalits, incorporating the Plater family coat of arms.
The park, created in a scenic and hilly landscape, belongs to the group of mixed-composition parks.
In 1993, the manor and park were returned to Plater heiress Laimė Felicija Platerienė.
In 2007, the exterior of the manor was restored.
