Fishing in the bodies of water within the park’s territory is allowed under the general rules with a recreational fishing license, as in all state-owned water bodies where limited fishing is not organized.
After the removal of limited fishing regulations, the rule allowing an angler to catch up to 7 kg of fish per fishing session in the Nemunas Delta Regional Park no longer applies. A general 5 kg limit now applies.
Fishing for bream during their spawning season—from April 20 to May 20—is prohibited in the park’s water bodies (this ban does not apply to bream fishing in polders).
Please note that all recreational fishing is prohibited year-round in the Krokų Lanka Botanical-Zoological Reserve, in the Curonian Lagoon between the Atmata and Skirvytė rivers within 1 km from the shore, and in Kniaupas Bay.
In the Curonian Lagoon, anglers are allowed to catch up to 7 kg of fish, excluding smelt, which can be caught in unlimited quantities.
