Viadukas Švėkšnoje

One of the most unique features of the Church of St. James the Apostle in Švėkšna—and possibly of the entire town—is the pedestrian bridge stretching over the street, connecting the adjacent park to the churchyard.
The viaduct was built around 1885, along with the churchyard, nearly 20 years before the church itself. Its decorative details, like the churchyard wall, are in the Neo-Gothic style.
This structure is rare and unique in Lithuania, which is why its image is used in the coat of arms of Švėkšna.
