Medieval Day in the Reflections of the Autumn Equinox in Usėnai (Viduramžių diena rudens lygiadienio atspindžiuose Usėnuose)

3:00 PM – Creation of the Usėnai coat of arms and installation-mandala from eco-friendly materials.

5:00 PM – Worship of the Oak, rituals.

5:00 PM – Opening of the photography exhibition “Visual Letters to Lithuania” („Vizualūs laiškai Lietuvai“) by Romualdas Vaitkus (Tauragė).

From 5:00 PM – Lyrical interludes during the event – poems by Laimutė Tumienė (Usėnai), read by ethnographic theatre “Negelys” actors Irena and Zigmantas (dir. J. Daugalienė).

From 5:10 PM – Presentation of medieval Grand Duchy of Lithuania warfare, historical cuisine, and ancient games. Activities and education presented by live history reenactors “Duke’s Suite” („Kunigaikščio svita“) (Vilnius).

7:00 PM – Usėnai courtyard puppet theatre performance based on the Lithuanian legend “The Deceived Fairies” („Apgautos laumės“) (dir. J. Daugalienė).

7:30 PM – Fire, light, music, and drum spectacle.
