Kintai Vydūnas Cultural Centre

The Kintai Vydūnas Cultural Center and Memorial Museum is located in the former Kintai school. The school, built in 1705 and fully restored in 1994, was where the renowned Lithuanian philosopher and writer Vilhelmas Storosta-Vydūnas taught from 1888 to 1892. The cultural center was officially established in 1998.
A unique architectural structure – the restored outbuilding of the center – now houses an artists’ residence with metal art workshops, creative spaces, and guest accommodations.
The center organizes tourist routes around the Kintai area, offers access to the Vydūnas Museum, and includes an enamel art gallery with educational activities for individuals and groups.
It promotes ethnic cultural practices: expeditions, ethnocultural education projects, live craft demonstrations, and amateur art programs for youth and adults.
Children’s and youth artistic education is supported through art and music school facilities, leisure projects, and educational programs.
The center also spreads professional art through educational initiatives, regional and international symposia and plein-air gatherings.
Traveling exhibitions, traditional events, and festivals are organized here regularly.
