Viešbučio „Deims“ pastatas Šilutėje

The hotel was established in 1870. Its name comes from the surname of its owner – Deim. The exact date when Hermann Deim became the owner is unknown, but it is believed to have happened in the early 20th century, as the hotel under this name appeared in the Šilutė district address book of that time.
In 1922, the hotel and its café were purchased by Mr. Haupt. After World War II, the hotel resumed operations. The name “Deims Hotel” was changed to “Nemunas,” and a café named “Žibintas” was opened. A major renovation was carried out during the post-war period. While the building was reconstructed, its pre-war exterior elements were largely preserved.
Today, “Deims” is the only hotel in Šilutė that can accommodate up to 85 guests at once. It offers 43 rooms.
