Launch of Prof. Domas Kaunas’ Monograph “Book Houses of Lithuania Minor”

On February 6, Friday, at 4:00 PM, we invite you to the launch of the monograph “Book Houses of Lithuania Minor” (Mažosios Lietuvos knygų namai) by book historian, bibliophile, and researcher of the culture of Lithuania Minor Prof. Domas Kaunas.
This book presents research on the history of libraries in Lithuania Minor, revealing the conditions in which the creative talents of the pioneers of Lithuanian written culture and literature — A. Kulvietis, S. Rapolionis, M. Mažvydas, J. Bretkūnas, K. Donelaitis, M. L. Rėza, Vydūnas, F. Bajoraitis, M. Hofmanas-Ateivis, I. Simonaitytė, and others — were born and matured.

the author of the book Domas Kaunas, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Silva Pocytė (Klaipėda University).
Folk songs of Lithuania Minor will be performed by the folklore ensemble “Ramytė” (leader Giedrė Pocienė).
