Saugos Evangelical Lutheran Church

The construction of the Saugos prayer house began in 1845. The rectangular, red-brick church with a small tower was built over three years. It is tall and massive. The consecration ceremony took place only on October 9, 1857. The single-nave church with an apse, decorated by an artist, featured a combined altar-pulpit, spacious galleries, a 14-register organ, and one bell.
Although the building suffered some damage during wartime, the people were able to repair it fairly easily. Evangelical Lutheran services are currently held there.
In 1947, the Chapel in the Evangelical Lutheran Church cemetery was converted into the St. Casimir Catholic Church. This Catholic church is low, rectangular in shape, and has three altars inside.
