The monument “For Those Who Died for Lithuania’s Freedom” was erected in 1928 in the center of Žemaičių Naumiestis. It is a two-tier obelisk (stone masonry and concrete) with a top shaped like the Gediminas Tower. In 1951, the monument was demolished and buried. In October 1988, it was excavated and restored by local craftsmen.
