Muziejaus ekspozicijos pastatas Švėkšnoje

In 1993, the museum of Švėkšna Secondary School became a branch of the Šilutė Museum (now Šilutė Hugo Scheu Museum) and was established in one of the Švėkšna manor buildings located within the park area, near the Catholic church and Villa “Genovefa”.
Since 2005, the museum has been operating in new premises – at Švėkšna “Saulė” Gymnasium. A significant part of the museum’s collection originated from the Švėkšna manor. Among the valuable items is a rich heritage of old manuscripts, including one of the most important publications – the 17th-century Lithuanian Statute.
Today, the Švėkšna exhibition includes 4 separate exhibition halls: ethnography, archaeology, manor history, and town history. Exhibits and displays are rotated as needed.
