The main occupation of the villagers was fishing in the richest waters of the Curonian Lagoon. In winter, some engaged in ice fishing or cutting reeds in the frozen marshlands of Kniaup\u0117 Bay.<br>Within the scenic Nemunas Delta Regional Park, Ming\u0117 is notable for its unique \u201criver street\u201d\u2014there are no bridges, and locals use boats or pedal boats to cross. Known as the Little Venice of Lithuania, villagers refer to it as a \u201csmall Lithuanian Venice\u201d for its charm and landscape.<br>Today, Ming\u0117 is developing rapidly as a center for rural and water tourism. It caters to anglers, sailors, and anyone wanting to boat, water-ski, or enjoy peaceful time in nature.
