The owner of \u0160ilut\u0117 Manor, Hugo Scheu, donated a plot of land to the town, where in 1911 the fire station building was constructed. At that time, the area was the lowest and most marshy part of \u0160ilokar\u010dema, located next to the now-disappeared \u0160ret stream.<br>The ground floor housed the fire brigade\u2019s garage, and the administrative board was located on the second floor. The fire brigade consisted of volunteers, equipped with a single hand-operated pump and four horses.<br>Built in the Art Nouveau style with the restrained ornamentation typical of the Klaip\u0117da region, the building is a heritage monument of architecture and history. Having survived both world wars and stood for over 100 years, the fire station has preserved its original appearance.
