Im Jahr 1906 begann man mit der Pflasterung mit Steinen. Der Platz war von 1- bis 3-st\u00f6ckigen, verzierten Ziegelgeb\u00e4uden umgeben.<br>In der Nachkriegszeit wurden die umliegenden Einzelh\u00f6fe vollst\u00e4ndig zerst\u00f6rt, die alten Geb\u00e4ude verfielen. Trotzdem \u00fcberstanden sie viele Jahre sowjetischer Vernachl\u00e4ssigung und Unordnung.<br>Nach 1990 setzte sich der Niedergang Katy\u010diais fort. In den Jahren der Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit wurden die dreist\u00f6ckigen Geb\u00e4ude auf dem Platz verlassen und sp\u00e4ter abgerissen.
