Šilutė is famous for its flooded meadows, abundance of screaming birds, spring magnolia blossoms, water and wind kingdom. Šilutė town basis consists of Šilokarčema, Žibai, Verdainė and Cintjoniškės settlements are which most vividly preserved impressive on Prussian architecture reflections, a lot of old, ornate buildings: a fire station, primary school, narrow-gauge railway station and so on. Šilutė history dates back to the Old Market Square by River Šyša, Hugo Scheu Manor Complex. An Evangelical Lutheran Church with inside painted biblical plots murals is the symbol of the town.
Now Šilutė is a fast-growing tourist town, attractive to gueasts for uniqueness of surroundings and distinctive heritage.
