Road of Lighthouses

Road of Lighthouses

The lighthouses that have been present for centuries and have begun for centuries have remained for centuries on the Baltic coast and the Curonian Lagoon. There are 7 seamounts and underground lighthouses in Lithuania – restored and authentic, restored and still navigable signs inviting to the coast. Most of these lighthouses are active and used not only for night navigation or in the form of fog, they are tailor made for tourism, some have museums, and there are plenty of other attractions nearby. Taking into account the location of the lighthouses along the Curonian Lagoon and the theme of tourist objects, the project “Pamario švyturių kelias” is being implemented by combining tourist objects of the municipality of Silute and Neringa. In total, the project includes 5 lanes linking the total baseline route, which together are the starting points, the orienteering and return points of the route.
